Ephesians 4:32 “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”
“Mathilde” was the first Christian in her family, but she and her husband raised their children to know and love the Lord despite the many trials that they faced throughout the years. Even when Mathilde’s husband died, her Muslim family members persecuted and rejected her. Some of her family members refuse to interact with her or speak to her because she is a Christian, but they relentlessly demand financial support from her. Yet rather than respond in bitterness, Mathilde generously blesses those who persecute her and entrusts that God will meet her needs as she strives to meet the needs of others.
Praise God for Mathilde’s determination to live out the words of Romans 8:12-16a “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another.”
Pray that her example of joy, patience, faithfulness, generosity, and kindness will bear tremendous fruit for the Kingdom of God.
Pray for the young teenagers who are expected to fast during Ramadan. Many are exhausted as they go to school in extremely hot classrooms without air-conditioning and sometimes without even fans.
Pray that the Lord would call these young people to himself and that they would find refuge in Jesus Christ.
After a Christian brother forgave Mufasa’s numerous sins against him, Mufasa was shocked and soon gave his life to Christ. Mufasa helped start a church and led several other friends to Christ. But after a few years, Mufasa began to fall back into the sinful struggles of his past and he eventually renounced his faith and moved away.
Recently, Mufasa moved back to the Agadez region of Niger and married a Muslim woman, but he did not tell any of his family members.
“Mark the blameless and behold the upright, for there is a future for the man of peace.” Psalm 37:37
Ahran, a new believer in Morocco shared: “I have always admired Christianity and its teachings, and I have always seen that those who believe and follow Christ are people, most of whom are good and of high morals. I watched a video on your Arabic website where a person tells his experience with Christ. I was impressed by what Christ did with him, which made me communicate with you to learn more. Christ is the Lord, and any wise person cannot ignore his life. When I accepted Christ in my life and prayed; I felt great comfort and peace.“
Praise God for Ahren and his new life in Christ. Pray that he and others like him in Niger will grow in their new faith and find a strong fellowship of believers.
