Pray for a Nigerien Believer

A few months ago, “Cissy,” her husband, and her son accepted Christ. Recently, Cissy’s husband died suddenly leaving her traumatized as she grieved the loss of her husband and the impact this will have on her family.

• Pray that the Lord would pour peace and comfort over Cissy’s household and provide for her daily needs.
• Pray that the small church in her village would support and encourage Cissy during this time of tremendous loss. 

Cultural Petition

During Ramadan, women wake up in the early hours of the morning to prepare a meal for their family to eat before the sun rises.

• Pray that as these women wake, their hearts and minds would be stirred by the Holy Spirit.
• Pray that they would desire to turn away from their fruitless traditions and pursue Christ.

Intercede on Behalf of the Lost

“Eve” is a Muslim widow who has established a flourishing peanut business in Niger. Eve is close to several Christian missionaries and many of her closest friends are Christians, but she has not yet placed her trust in Christ.

Recently, Eve’s eye was seriously damaged, and as a result of poor Nigerien healthcare, she developed an abscess on her cornea that could not be healed, and ultimately her eye was removed. In her pain and distress, Eve sought the prayers of her Christian friends.

Pray that the Lord would use this trial to turn Eve’s affections towards Him. Pray the words of Ephesians 1:18-19 over Eve, “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.”

Bold Prayers from the Scriptures

“I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim and the war horse from Jerusalem; and the battle bow shall be cut off, and he shall speak peace to the nations; his rule shall be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.” Zechariah 9:10 

Ask the Omnipotent God to break the weapons of spiritual and physical war that harm the church in Niger.

• Pray that the Lord would speak peace to the people of Niger and to every other nation as He establishes His Kingdom to the ends of the earth.
• Pray that the peacemaking spirit would take deep root in the Nigerien church.
• Pray that Nigerien believers would shake the foundations of society with the power of their sacrifice, service, and forgiveness. 

A Testimony from Across the Muslim World

Malik is a 49-year-old man from the Gilgit Baltistan area. He had a lot of doubts about Islam which led him to explore Christianity. He shared that he had a very hard time finding evidence of any miracles Mohammad performed. One of the popular miracles Mohammad performed was splitting the moon in half. The more he looked into the history of this event the more disappointment he felt. No one had recorded this event to be true in history. On the other hand, the miracles Jesus performed had countless witnesses and had been acknowledged throughout history. His Christian friend told him about Jesus’ authority to perform these miracles. Malik learned Jesus not only healed people but also forgave sins. He was eager to learn what more Jesus could do and as he learned about Jesus’ authority it became clear to him he needed to follow Jesus. He prayed for his salvation and became a follower of Jesus Christ.

Pray for Malik as there are many others who are exposed to Christianity but need guidance to lead them in the right direction. Pray for him to grow in his faith and lead others who are in search of the truth.
