1 Corinthians 8:6 “Yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.”
“Hannatou” is a Fulani Christian woman who decided to give her life to Jesus Christ despite the numerous difficulties and persecutions she was facing from her husband and family members. Yet Hannatou was not deterred from placing her trust in Jesus and continuing to talk about her faith to other people. The Lord has given Hannatou a powerful passion for prayer and the grace to pray for those who are sick and possessed by evil spirits. Many people come to Hannatou to receive prayers for deliverance and healing.
Pray that the Lord Jesus would continue to use Hannatou and that she will always have a voice that will faithfully proclaim the Gospel to others.
The word “Islam” means “submission to the will of God” and Muslims strive to live a life of complete submission to Allah. For Nigerien Muslims, submission to authority and to God is of the utmost importance. Unfortunately, this concept has led to rampant oppression and a culture of control.
When “Celia” gave birth to a daughter with significant health issues, she left her daughter in Togo with her mother and moved to Niger. Celia met a missionary family and asked if they would be willing to help raise her daughter and provide the medical treatment that she desperately needed. Celia’s daughter has now been living with the missionaries for several years and has accepted Christ and been baptized; her greatest desire is that her birth mother would also choose to follow Christ. Celia seems to truly desire to please God and even fasts extra days in order to earn Allah’s favor.
“Their idols are like scarecrows in a cucumber field, and they cannot speak; they have to be carried, for they cannot walk. Do not be afraid of them, for they cannot do evil, neither is it in them to do good.” Jeremiah 10:5
Sakib was born into a Muslim family but had many doubts about his religion. He found the truth in the Holy Bible. He said, “Now it is my responsibility to call my family and people in my area to the path of truth, for the [Holy Bible] is an ideal medium.” He is now interested to start learning much more about the Bible.
Pray for Sakib and the multitudes of others around the Muslim world who are being transformed through the Living Word of God.
