Matthew 8:27 “And the men marveled, saying, ‘What sort of man is this, that even winds and sea obey him?’”
Judah’s wife was extremely ill and possessed. He had exhausted every effort to seek her healing and was told by doctors and Muslim leaders that nothing could be done for her. His wife was violent and could not be contained, so he bound her with chains to the back of a donkey cart as he searched for healing.
When he arrived at TierraMia, the members of the church began praying for her for three days as she wailed and screamed. At the end of three days, she was both physically and spiritually well. Judah could not deny the unmatched power and authority that was found in the name of Jesus and immediately accepted Christ.
Praise God for healing Judah’s wife. Praise God that Judah and his wife both accepted Christ, and there is now a church in their village.
The name of Jesus is mentioned throughout the Qur’an. Muslims believe that Jesus was a great prophet, but don’t know that He is the Son of God who died a sacrificial death on the cross and rose from the dead.
Pray that believers and missionaries would have boldness in proclaiming the truth of who Jesus is.
Pray for Remi, the daughter of a very influential political family. Remi has been plagued with terrifying nightmares that her devout Muslim family believes are the result of curses sent to their family out of jealousy. In desperation, Remi has visited Imams and witch doctors to ask for protection from these spirits and dreams, but they continue to plague her.
After confiding in her Christian neighbors about these dreams and the failures of these other sources to protect her, Remi asked them to pray for her. Her neighbors prayed over her in Jesus’s name and encouraged her to call on His name herself if the nightmares persisted. Remi continues to regularly ask for prayer from her neighbors but has expressed that she is not ready to use Jesus’s name herself.
Pray that Remi will be brave enough to call on the name of Jesus and that He will reveal Himself to her as the One True God and the only source of true protection and peace.
“Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and for ten days you will have tribulation. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.” Revelation 2:10
Ask the Lord Jesus Christ to give the Nigerien church the grace to remain faithful in proclamation and holiness unto death, that they might joyfully receive the crown of life that His perfect grace has prepared for them.
Hamid is a Muslim background believer who is facing a lot of difficulties and persecution because of his faith. He was reported and arrested by the police and is going through a court case because he decided to follow Jesus. He has been beaten by the police to threaten him and the law may not help him. This is a fear most of Muslim people have when they decide to turn away from Islam.
Please pray for Hamid as he goes through this difficult time. He has more enemies than friends and his family may also not step up to help him. Pray for his protection, strength, and comfort from God.
