Praise the Head of the Church

Pray for a Nigerien Believer
In the past few years, “Naaman” has been instrumental in helping start 30 new churches among the Hausa people in his region of Niger. Naaman works hard to disciple and train the leaders of these churches.
- Join Naaman in praying that God would raise up young leaders to serve alongside older leaders.
- Pray that God would give Naaman discernment and wisdom as he teaches others to delegate tasks and disciple others.
Cultural Petition
Most Nigeriens are living in bondage to paralyzing fear as a result of their Islamic and animistic beliefs. For a large majority of Nigeriens, life is controlled by fear.
Pray that Nigeriens would encounter Jesus Christ who chases away fear and darkness. 1 John 4:18a “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear.”
Intercede on Behalf of the Lost
“Samuel” is a 73-year-old man who first heard the Gospel over 40 years ago when his wife accepted Christ and was baptized. He took a second wife who mistreated and placed curses on his first wife and her children. Samuel told his first wife that she must choose her marriage or her Jesus. When she stated that she would never deny Christ, he kicked her and her 7 children out of his house and refused to provide for her. The woman remained steadfast in her faith and raised all of her children to know and love the Lord despite enduring unthinkable difficulties.
Today, Samuel’s grown children have forgiven their father and are meeting his financial needs despite his unwillingness to provide for them as children. His children ask for prayer that their father would recognize that they love him unconditionally because of the unconditional love of Jesus Christ.
Pray that Samuel would finally abandon the false gods and spirit worship of his past and submit his life to Jesus Christ.

“For we are slaves. Yet our God has not forsaken us in our slavery, but has extended to us his steadfast love before the kings of Persia, to grant us some reviving to set up the house of our God, to repair its ruins, and to give us protection in Judea and Jerusalem.” Ezra 9:9
- Pray that Nigerien believers would find hope in their identities as slaves to their good Master, no matter how counter-cultural and provocative this identity may be.
- Pray that they would join with the people of God in saying, “we are slaves, but our God has not forsaken us in our slavery.”

Ruhi is ready to take the next step and be baptized.
‘I was a Sunni Muslim by birth, but now I belong to Jesus Christ and have become a better person. I changed when I discovered Jesus, and I became closer to Him. All thanks to Him, I’m living in a continuous state of peace and joy. I wish I could serve Him and spread His word. I’m studying the Bible now and ready for baptism. Kindly pray for me.’
Pray for many like Ruhi in Niger that are new to the faith and considering being wed to the Lamb of God through baptism.
