Ephesians 1:3 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places.”
“Harouna” is a Gourma Christian who has grown tremendously in his faith over the past few years. He had hoped to one day move back to his birth village, but due to increased terrorist activity and insecurity, he is unable to move home. Pray that Harouna would find a strong Christian community in his city and that he would meet a Gourma believer who would disciple him. Pray that Harouna would be faithful to follow after Christ even when his peers are apathetic in their faith.
During Ramadan, faithful Muslims fast every day from dawn until dusk. This is an incredibly challenging task in Niger when Ramadan falls during the hot season and Muslims abstain from drinking water throughout the day.
Pray that the people of Niger would hunger and thirst for the living water, Jesus Christ, who alone can offer true satisfaction and fulfillment.
Many years ago, Amin’s father started a business in the Nigerien lumberyard in Niamey. Eventually, he entrusted his business to Amin and since then, Amin has become a man of tremendous influence near his business. Amin has desperately pursued relationships with Christians and seems to long for meaningful relationships. Pray that seeds of truth would take root in Amin’s life, grow abundantly, and multiply.
“and was declared to be the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness by his resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord, through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of his name among all the nations,” Romans 1:4-5
Zarish is a new believer in Pakistan who was miraculously healed from a spinal injury through the power of prayer. She reported feeling the presence of evil spirits in her house and is praying to Jesus that they will go away from her life. A lot of Muslims turn towards shrines and objects with black magic when they experience hardships. These things don’t really help them, instead, they end up welcoming evil things in their homes and lives. People do these things because they are desperate and they easily follow others when they are offered a quick solution.
Please pray for Zarish as she has found her new identity in Jesus. Pray she would only ask for help from Jesus and that any bad spirits will leave her alone. Pray for our Christian brothers and sisters in Niger and across the Muslim world to boldly show to neighbors and friends their refusal to put hope in anything other than Jesus.
Use these resources to help pray specifically each day.
